Bees are the best pollinators.  Hair's are split to carry pollen.

Short tongue bees like asters.

Long tongue bees like tubular flowers.

Pollen is a protein needed by bees.  Nectar is sugar energy

Over 70% of native bees live in the ground and are solitary.

There are over 4,000 different species of bees in United States

There are 20 species of Bumble Bees in Kane County.

Some native bees only travel 250 meters from their home.

Our native Bumble Bees will travel more 1.2 miles for food.
